Flex your artistic skills and join fellow creatives at Republic Brewing Company on Thursday, December 3rd 5:30pm-7:30pm and learn how to paint the noble cardinal!
The cost is $40 for all materials and use of supplies. If you have your own supplies and materials, the cost will be $25. Materials and supplies include:
1.) Daniel Smith & Winsor & Newton professional watercolors: Pyrrol Scarlet/Scarlet Lake, Quinacridone Gold, Undersea Green, French Ultramarine Blue, Goldstone, & Lamp Black. If you're bringing your own paint and don't have these colors - don't worry! Just bring a bright warm red, yellow, and medium-dark blue. Orange and green are not required (we can mix these colors), but a warm desaturated green and earthy orange like Burnt Sienna will work great too.
2.) Bleed Proof White or white gouache
3.) Iridescent Watercolor Medium
4.) Arches 100% cold press watercolor paper. Final paintings will be 8"X10" or 5”X7” if you want to paint a card Please let me know what size you would like to paint.
5.) Masking Fluid & eraser (optional)
6.) Sea Salt
7.) Size 2 and size 10 round watercolor brushes
8.) Drafting tape
9.) Boards for mounting paper
10.) Craft heating tool
11.) 2 pint-sized jars for water
12.) Watercolor palette for mixing
13.) Standard kitchen sponge
14.) Paper towels and/or swedish dish cloth
15.) Cardinal outline
16.) Take-home instructions
17.) Tracing transfer supplies

Location: Republic Brewing Company is generously hosting.
Instruction: Christine Johnson will be your instructor for this class. Christine is a graduate of the Floral Design Institute and current student at Rhode Island School of Design, studying photography & painting.
This design is by Christine Johnson. Reproductions, such as making prints or use of AI, of this design and painting without permission is prohibited, along with selling the paintings and entering them into competitions. It is okay to paint this design as many times as you would like and gift them to friends and loved ones.
